APJ Abdul Kalam 6th death anniversary July 27th 2021



Today (July 27) is the sixth death anniversary of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Known as the 'Missile Man of India', Dr APJ Abdul Kalam contributed not only to science but also served as the 11th President of India and was widely regarded as the 'People's President'.

As an aerospace scientist, Dr Kalam worked with India's two major space research organisations -- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

His most significant works include the development of the Indian ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He played a central role in one of India's most important nuclear tests, Pokhran-II. For his work in science and politics, he was awarded 'Bharat Ratna', India's highest civilian honour.

He served as India's president between July 25, 2002, and July 25, 2007. He passed away on July 27, 2015, at the age of 83.

PT1 Class VI- XII

In compliance with the guidelines  discussed in the cluster level meeting and as per the instructions received from Johnson Sir, it is decided to conduct PT1 for  classes VI -XI and monthly test for class XII. Starting date 10/09/2020. Time table will follow shortly. Test timings. 8.30am -10.00am every day. Total marks 40. There should be two sections in the paper. Section A carries MCQ/Objective questions for 24 marks in google form. Section B carries Open Text Based Assessment Questions for 16 marks. ( 4 short answer questions each carrying 2 marks and 2 long answer questions each carrying 4 marks). In Section B since students are allowed to use the text for answering the questions, it is expected that only application level questions are administered in this segment. The time allotment for section A and B the subject teachers concerned can decide. However both the sections are to be answered within the allotted time, that is 8.30-10.00am.
